Close to 32 banks are channel partners of LIC, and are authorised to sell the company's insurance products.The corporation has set a target of Rs 1,000 crore new premium collection from the Ahmedabad division this fiscal.Speaking about impact of Direct Tax Code on insurance products, Kemmu said "initially there could be some impact on the sector, but as in the past, it would fade away as there is a lot of awareness about insurance products amongst investors now."
