Lok Satta welcomes Tamil Nadu''s announcement on prohibition
PTI | 07:07 PM,Jul 29,2010Hyderabad, July 29 (PTI) The Lok Satta Party today welcomed the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's announcement that his Government was considering re-imposition of Prohibition.Talking to reporters, Party General Secretary Katari Srinivasa Rao recalled that unlike in Andhra Pradesh where liquor shops were auctioned for maximising revenues, in Tamil Nadu the Government itself runs liquor shops.While the Tamil Nadu Government was having second thoughts on allowing free flow of liquor, the Andhra Pradesh Government was unbashedly planning to make more and more liquor brands available to addicts in the State, he said.
