No chemical project to come up in coastal Konkan region
PTI | 10:07 PM,Jul 27,2010The budgetary provisions for the coastal districts have been increased including Sindhudurga (Rs 90 crore), Ratnagiri (Rs 102 crore) and Thane (Rs 180 crore), he added. The Finance Minister, who hails from Raigad district of the Konkan, announced to build Shivsrushti, an exhibition highlighting life span of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Pachad near Raigad fort. "The work for Shivsrushti would start this year and we would also create a circuit route joining water forts in the area," he said. The Finance Department has also sanctioned Rs five crore for advertisement of the tourist spots in the Konkan, he added.
