He will return to Renigunta at 4.20 pm and lay the foundation-stone for the new Tirupati International Airport and fly back to New Delhi at 5.15 pm, official sources here said. The foundation-stone laying ceremony of the NTPC-BHEL had to be put off at least four times in the last 14 months as the Prime Minister cancelled his planned trip to the state as many times. Though initially it was expected that the Prime Minister would also launch the Unique Identification Authority of India's Aadhar project at Tirupati, that programme has been cancelled because of his tight schedule. The NTPC-BHEL Joint Venture Project will manufacture equipments for power plants. It will be the first-of-its-kind green-field industry and will provide direct employment for 6,000 persons and indirect employment for over 25,000 people. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2013-14. The state government has allotted 750 acres of land for the project. The project will enable setting up of more than 400 ancillary units as well. The manufacturing facility will also have an integrated township with staff quarters and facilities like school, healthcare centre, community hall, club and play ground. The state government is laying a four-lane road to connect Mannavaram to the nearest National Highway. .
