

Sanitation plan for Shimla by German-based agency
PTI | 02:12 AM,Dec 28,2011Shimla, Dec 27 (PTI) A German-based agency has made a sanitation plan for state capital Shimla to improve its sewerage system and disposal of bio-degradable and non-biodegradable waste. Under the plan, improvement of sewerage system of the capital town would be covered in the first phase while the water supply management and disposal of bio-degradable and non-biodegradable waste would be taken up in the next phase, a spokesperson of the Shimla Municipal Corporation said. The Union government had signed an agreement with the German government for preparing technical assistance report by the agency. The GIC has prepared such plan for six cities in India, including Shimla.
