"We would like to reiterate that as Buddhists, life is precious. In the long-term interest of the Tibetan cause, we urge Tibetans to focus on secular and monastic education to provide the necessary human resources and the capability to strengthen and sustain our movement...," the CTA said in a press statement here. We once again remind Tibetans to refrain from drastic actions, it added. The Central Tibetan Administration expressed its concern over the yesterday's self-immolation attempt of Jampel Yeshi in New Delhi. "We offer our heart-felt prayers for him (Yeshi) and his family members," the release said. Tibetans living in the free world have freedom and space for conventional means of protests and they should be utilised to the fullest, the CTA said. The Central Tibetan Administration, therefore, reiterates its appeal to all Tibetans and Tibet supporters to express their solidarity through activities which are peaceful, legal and dignified, the statement added.
