Shiv Sena Hindustan takes out protest march
PTI | 10:09 PM,Sep 06,2010Pathankot(Punjab), Apr 21 (PTI) BJP workers today blocked road here protesting the arrest of former municipal councillor's son in a rape case. BJP workers led by Punjab unit president Ashwani Sharma today protested against the police action. Varun Mahajan, son of former MC Vinod Mahajan, allegedly raped a girl following which the Pathankot Police registered a case against him under various sections of the IPC, including 375 and 506, police said. Following the BJP protest and traffic disruption, Gurdaspur SP (HQ) Charanjit Singh visited the spot and only after his assurance of conducting an enquiry into the matter the traffic blockade was lifted.
