

S'pore Apache helicopter crash lands near school
| 10:41 AM,Sep 30,2010SINGAPORE (AP) — Singapore says a military helicopter has crash landed in an open field across the street from a primary school.The Defense Ministry says the pilots of an Apache AH-64 helicopter made an emergency landing in a residential neighborhood Thursday after battling engine problems during a routine maintenance flight.The ministry says no civilian property was damaged and no military personnel were injured in the crash. The ministry says it is investigating the cause.The ministry says the tail section was damaged during the landing. An Associated Press photographer at the site of the crash said the tail section ended up about 50 yards (meters) from the rest of the helicopter.
