

Swine flu claims another life in Punjab
PTI | 09:09 PM,Sep 06,2010Pathankot, Sept 6 (PTI) A factory labourer from Assam suffering from swine flu died here today, taking the death toll due to the disease in the state to six this season. Pathankot civil Hospital Senior Medical Officer Dr Achala Bhatia said two youths Nittu Chalia (26) and Charan Das (28), both residents of Gho village, suffering from swine flu were admitted in the hospital on Saturday. Chalia, who was kept on ventilators due to breathing problems and running high fever, was given Tamiflu medicine but the patient did not respond and died today. According to the kin, Chalia, who hailed from Dibrugarh in Assam, was working as a factory labourer.
