Three die after car fells into gorge
PTI | 06:02 PM,Feb 02,2012Itanagar, Feb 2 (PTI) Three people died on the spot when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a 40 metre gorge along NH -52(A) in between Itanagar and Naharlagun early this morning. According to Itanagar police station officer in-charge M Bui, the accident might have occurred when the driver of the car failed to negotiate a sharp curve near a temple, police said. The victims who were on their way to Naharlagun from here have been identified as Michi Kago (driver), Puna Nobin and L B Rana. All of them were contractors, police said. In May 22, 2004, 58 people were killed in the same spot when a public bus fell in the same gorge. PTI UPL
