

Toshiba to sell glasses-free 3D TV
PTI | 01:08 PM,Aug 25,2010Tokyo, Aug 25 (Kyodo) Toshiba Corp will start marketing by the year end a 3D television that people can watch without wearing special eyeglasses, the first such TV in the world, sources have said. Although various major consumer electronics makers have released 3D TVs, including Panasonic Corp in April and Sony Corp in June, critics have complained about the bother of having to wear glasses. In a related development, Sharp Corp plans to release by the end of March next year a smartphone allowing users to watch 3D images with the naked eye. (Kyodo)
