Two dead in illegal cracker unit blast

Kendrapara (Orissa), Nov 23 (PTI) Two persons - a 60 year-old man and his nephew were charred to death in a blast in an illegal cracker manufacturing unit at Ganja village, about 65 km from here, police said today The blast occurred last night when the duo were making palm-leaf crackers.The two died on the spot in the explosion, under whosen impact the thatched roof of the house collapsed and was gutted, the police said.The cracker unit had no valid permit, sub-divisional police officer P K Routray said.
