

Union Ministers asked to send details of their assets to PM
PTI | 10:09 PM,Sep 01,2010New Delhi, Sep 1 (PTI) Union Ministers have been asked to submit their annual accounts of assets and liabilities to the Prime Minister. In a letter addressed to all Union Ministers, Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar has asked them to submit "annual accounts of assets and liabilities" to the Prime Minister. The recent letter refers to a Home Ministry "Code of Conduct" under which the ministers have to submit their details. The Code of Conduct states that "a person immediately after entering office as a minister, and in any case within a period of two months from the date of assumption of office, shall disclose to the Prime Minister, or the Chief Minister, as the case may be, details of the assets and liabilities, and of business interests, of himself and of members of his family..."
