Will explain my position to Rahul: Vikramaditya
PTI | 06:02 PM,Feb 09,2012Dharamsala, Feb 9 (PTI) Union minister Virbhadra Singh's son Vikramaditya, who was debarred from contesting the Youth Congress elections in Himachal, today said his side was not heard while making the decision and he will explain his position to AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi. "I was not heard. Both the parties should have been given the proper time. Whenever I meet Rahul Gandhi, I will place my point," he told reporters here. 22-year-old Vikramaditya was debarred from contesting the Youth Congress elections for "violating the model code of conduct and disturbing the level-playing field" during the 2011 organisational polls in Himachal Pradesh. The Foundation for Advanced Management of Elections (FAME), an NGO that Rahul had roped in to ensure free and fair polls in Youth Congress, also declared the state polls as "null and void". In the polls in November last year, Vikramaditya had polled 5,919 votes while his nearest rival Raghubir Bali, son of former minister G S Bali, secured 2,343 votes. Vikramaditya, however, said, "Whether given a post or not in the state Youth Congress, I will work for the organisation...I have full faith in Rahul Gandhi and shall abide by his directions."
