Woman, child killed in wall collapse
PTI | 04:07 PM,Jul 27,2010Kanpur (UP), Aug 1 (PTI) Two children died and three others were injured when a roof of their house collapsed in Moolganj area here, police said today. Fahmida Khan's two-storeyed house was almost 70 years old and in a dilapidated condition. Fahmida's grandchildren, Ansara (7) and Abuzar (6) were sleeping in one room while three other children of the family including Misba (7)and Fiza (6) were having dinner late last night when the roof came crashing down on them, police added. Fiza and another kid were rescued from the debris immediately, while the other three could only be rescued when police reached the spot. The injured were taken to Ursula hospital here, where Ansara and Abuzar, the brother-sister duo were declared brought dead. Inquiry has been ordered into the matter, they added. PTI ZIR RCL
