'IBN7 Guru Shishya Awards' is an initiative that recognises the extraordinary contributions made by inspirational GURUS in the life of their outstanding SHISHYAS across different walks of life. The Awards are a felicitation of the everlasting bond between Guru and Shishya who have kept this sacred tradition alive.
The awards are aimed at recognising, celebrating and honoring the Guru-Shishya combination of extraordinary achievers who have made significant contribution across various fields. This first of its kind initiative awards the Guru-Shishya duo highlighting the achievement of the SHISHYA that has made his GURU proud and is aimed at reinstating this sacred relationship in the consciousness of modern India to keep this eternal tradition alive for generations to come.

The IBN7 Guru Shishya Awards adheres to a stringent process of selection which has Network18's distinguished Editorial board at its core. The IBN Editorial board drawn from the editorial masterminds of IBN7, CNN-IBN and IBN-Lokmat select a list of illustrious Guru-Shishya duos for their remarkable achievements in their respective fields and then deliberate to finalise the winners keeping in mind their contribution in their respective fields.
