CNN-IBN Citizen Journalists captured the drama on film as it unfolded in Thane on Friday morning. CJ Nikhil from Thane sent images of the mangled train wreckage and the first responders on the scene. The images show water pouring out of the pipe which fell on the train, crushing it. The rescue crews were having a tough time getting into the bogeys.

CJ: Delhi flouts SC's ban on firecrackers

The scarcity of water in Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa village prompted Ram Kuvarbhai to take charge and end the water woes in her village. She donated her own land in order to have a well and started digging. Within 3 months, the villagers had a well of their own. A Delhi based NGO Goonj stepped in with the technical help.

A Supreme Court judgement has brought the development versus people debate back in the spotlight. The apex court has stayed a Bombay High Court order that allowed the razing down of a 400-year-old cemetery for expansion of the Mumbai airport. CJ Dolphy D'Souza is not impressed by the move. He questions whether the construction of shopping malls and five star hotels qualifies as development for all.
