A 27-year-old man committed suicide in Delhi on Tuesday, depressed over being beaten by his in-laws and his wife's refusal to return home from her parents' house. Lokesh, a makeup artist got married in 2012 to Sheetal, who works in a tour and travel company. However, differences started arising within a few months and having a child did not help matters either.

Delhi Police have launched a manhunt in Haryana and Uttarakhand for a "spiritual guru" who is suspected to be behind the murder of local BSP leader Deepak Bhardwaj allegedly over a land dispute. A witness in the December 16 gangrape case on Wednesday denied before a special court the claim of an accused that the death certificate and other relevant documents accompanying the victim's body, which was flown in from Singapore, were manipulated. "I (prosecution witness) had seen the original passport of the victim. I had not seen the dates on the passport.
