With the Indian Premier League being thrown into jeopardy, the organisers have started the cumbersome process of re-working the dates in a bid to salvage the high profile Twenty20 cricket event starting next month. The tournament, coinciding with the General Rlections, has run into rough weather after the Home Ministry asked the organisers to redraw the schedule as it was not feasible to hold the matches under the existing fixture because of security reasons.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has yet again asked organisers to draw a fresh schedule for the second season of the Indian Premier League after a high level meeting on Friday. This is the second time the schedule of the IPL will have to be re-worked. IPL chairman Lalit Modi told CNN-IBN that he has already made a revised schedule to meet the Home Ministry's requirements, and that the dates will be announced soon. He also said the tournament will start as scheduled on April 10.
