As the Government plans to approach the Supreme Court for speedy disposal of all cases against MF Husain, the renowned painter says he is ready to return to India at the earliest. "If right now I get a call from Chidambaram (Union Home Minister), I will take the first flight to India and congratulate him that the Government has done really good," he said.

M F Husain turned 94 on Thursday and his paintings sold for double its price at Sothby's on that very day. Estimated at 120,000 dollars, a Husain painting suddenly got a boost in bids when the artist himself walked into the auction hall. It finally sold for more than double the price for 338,500 dollars, ie 1.6 crore rupees.
