Sanjana Goyal
Working to ameliorate various Muscular Dystrophy (MD) patients across the country, Sanjana Goyal is the founder president of the Indian Association of Muscular Dystrophy (IAMD) based at Solan, HP. A victim of muscular dystrophy herself, Sanjana is a guiding light for survivors of this disease. Sanjana has given hope to thousands of patients suffering from Muscular Dystrophy (MD) by demonstrating how they can lead a normal life by remaining active. The Indian Association of Muscular Dystrophy (IAMD) set up by her in 1995 serves both as a support and pressure group for MD patients. The Indian Association of Muscular Dystrophy (IAMD)—with 10 chapters and 2,500 members is widely credited with bringing Muscular Dystrophy (MD) out of the closet. Her passionate zeal has even forced the Government to sit up and take notice of the disease. She is now working for resorts that are friendly in nature for the specially abled, and has helped institute 25 diagnostic centers.
