New Delhi: Facing competition from smartphone makers like Samsung and Nokia, Blackberry-maker Research in Motion has chalked out aggressive plan for India of increasing its footprint to 160 cities, besides launching new devices and latest Operation System 10 soon.

The BlackBerry maker has a presence in about 80 cities in the country now and is keen to tap the burgeoning demand for smart phones here.

New Delhi: Market watchdog SEBI seems to be the latest to catch the fancy of social networks like Twitter, Facebook and blogs for spreading its message to investors as also to snoop on discussions at these platforms as part of its investigation and oversight activities.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is hiring specialist IT officers, whose role would include keeping track of social media platforms like Twitter and blogs for all market-related information, comments and discussions.

Washington: Facebook can terminate services of its chief Mark Zuckerberg at any time for any reason, or even without a reason, but the social networking giant's founder and CEO also enjoys similar exit rights.

As per Facebook's employment agreement with Zuckerberg, his tenure at the social networking giant would be on an "at will" basis, meaning his job can be terminated "at any time for any reason or no reason", either by him or by the company.

London: Parents could be putting their children at risk if they upload digital photos that are automatically "geotagged" by their camera, a study reveals.

Geotagging is the process of adding geographical identification metadata to various media, including photographs. The tools are often built into camera and camera phones and either use the mobile networks or global positioning system (GPS) to pinpoint a given photo.

Los Angeles: Apple sued Motorola Mobility in a US court on Friday in an attempt to stop Motorola from asserting some patent claims against Apple in Germany, according to the lawsuit.

Toronto: Research In Motion's BlackBerry smartphone has struggled to win over US consumers but the Canadian company has long been able to rely on the loyalty of corporate and government clients who depend on its secure email. No more.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a US federal agency that studies climate and the environment, plans to replace some of its employees' BlackBerrys with Apple iPhones and get rid of the servers that power RIM's smartphones by June.
