New Delhi: With the 22-second teaser out, speculations have arisen about the third episode of much talked about show 'Satyamev Jayate'. The short and crisp promo shows the host Aamir Khan talking about the passion of Indians. Khan deliberately denies cricket or movies to be the passion referring to some thing else (still unrevealed).

The chat show, whose earlier two episodes dealt with social issues like female infanticide and child abuse, has marked a milestone with 90 million viewer ship, highest ever for any Indian TV Show.

Los Angeles: Time was when TV talent shows set out to turn wannabes into stars. These days? Not so much. It's the celebrity judges who are raking in the cash and using TV contests not only as a way to re-launch a fading career, but to further boost a thriving one.

For music stars in an era of weak record sales, the trend spells victory for their bank account, but for fans and the music industry always hungering for a new star, it's a loss. And for TV networks, the once cheap-to-produce shows are ever more expensive, yet they don't always pay off in bigger audiences.

Jaipur: A Rajasthan minister has hit out at Bollywood star Aamir Khan for sensationalising female foeticide cases in the state, saying the government was already working on the issue before the actor's campaign.

Minister of State for Health, Rajkumar Sharma said that it was not right on the part of Aamir to highlight Rajasthan as the only state where the cases of female foeticide are rampant. "There was an impression that the government has swung into action after Aamir Khan's campaign but to clarify, I would like to highlight that the government is already working for the same. Budget announcements to check foeticide are there and several other steps are being taken," Sharma told PTI.
