Mohali (Punjab): Police on Wednesday arrested more than 100
Shiv Sainiks who were trying to march towards the PCA stadium hosting the Champions Trophy match between Pakistan and New Zealand.
Police said Sainiks had assembled at a place which was very close to the stadium. They have been booked under various sections of the IPC.
"The Sainiks had gathered here from various parts of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and were threatening to stop the match," police said.
The Sainiks, including their North Zone leader Jai Bhagwan Goyal, also raised anti-Pakistan slogan, they said.
