New Delhi: A 10-year-old boy was killed by an 18-year-old in Ghaziabad on Friday over a loan dispute.
The deceased boy Golu’s father had stood guarantee for a loan that the killer, Dipu’s father had given to a person.
After the debtor disappeared, Golu's father has been under pressure from Dipu's father for recovery of the amount.
Golu's family members and neighbours protested against what they called police inaction.
“Eight goons came to my house the day before and asked for Rs three lakh. I told them that my husband was away, so they took my son away,” said the 10-year-old’s mother.
Golu's mother alleges the police did not help in rescuing her son after he was taken away on Friday night.
“We went to the police station and they didn't take any action or even write a complaint. They told us they would look into the matter later and this morning my son’s dead body was returned,” she added.
