New Delhi: Over 120 activists were detained from various parts of east Delhi on Friday when they were trying to enforce a bandh called by the party to protest against price rise and hike in bus fares and electricity bills.

A senior police official said the bandh passed off "peacefully" and there were no incidents of violence across the city.

The official, however said, 122 BJP activists were detained from various parts of east Delhi during the day when they tried to enforce the bandh in their localities.

All of them were released later.
