New Delhi Altogether five people were killed and many injured when a bus carrying a marriage party overturned near Rampur village under Kursela police station in the district late Saturday night.
Early reports said a mini bus carrying about 40 people from Dilawarpur village in the district to Kharik-Luqmanpur in Bhagalpur district overturned near Rampur village, killing five of them on the spot, while at least 25 sustained serious injuries.
The injured were rushed to local hospitals, where the condition of eight was stated to be critical.
They were later referred to the nearby Purnia Sadar hospital, police added.
