Ghaziabad: Nearly 150,000 kg of adulterated khoya has been seized in the past few days in Ghaziabad, police said on Wednesday.
"We have recovered over 1,500 quintals (150,000 kg) of such products during several days of operation from Modinagar, Bhojpur Dasna and other areas. These were mostly prepared in interior areas and sent to the city," a police spokesperson said.
"At least four arrests have been made and over a dozen suppliers and manufacturers have been detained in Modinagar and Ghanta-Ghar police stations," he added.
"The samples have been sent to laboratory for further testing," he said.
Food Department officials in Jaipur have also seized nearly 6,000 litres of adulterated ghee from the factory premises where products from more than six famous brands were being packaged.
