Barmer, Fatehpur: As the government deliberates the issue of safety of women and the 23-year-old gangrape survivor battles for life, there are more reports of sex crimes against women from across the country. In Rajasthan's Barmer district, a 16-year-old girl was reportedly abducted and gangraped by three men inside a moving car on Thursday night.
Police have arrested two accused on the complaint of the girl's father, while the third is absconding. The girl was returning home after attending a wedding when she was kidnapped. The three accused identified as Manohar, Narendar and Sanwaliya, who were in a jeep, forcibly picked her up in the vehicle and raped her, police said. She was later found abandoned in the desert.
Meanwhile, in another incident at Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh, a minor was found dead after being raped, said police. Her body was found abandoned inside a house.
In Muzaffarnagar, a minor was raped by two men at the local panchayat office. The girl was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped for hours. The local police have registered a case, but no arrests have been made yet.
