New Delhi The body of a class 11 student was found in New Delhi on Friday with a rope tied around his neck, the police said.
The victim, identified as Chander Kumar, 16, was found strangled to death on Rao Tula Ram Marg in south Delhi around 0800 hrs IST on Friday.
A rope was tied around Kumar's neck. He stayed with his family in Nepali Jhuggi (slum) in RK Puram area. He was a Class 11 student in a state-run school in the same locality, the police said.
"We have registered a case of murder and are investigating the matter. Preliminary investigations reveal it could be case of personal enmity," said a police officer.
The victim's body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
