England captain Kevin Pietersen won the toss and elected to bat in the opening Test against India at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here on Thursday. Both sides included two spinners as they announced their eleven on the eve of the Test with England handing a Test debut to off-spinner Graeme Swann.
