Global warming and rising sea levels are issues that blare nearly daily. For some, ice bergs melting in the Arctic Sea is too far-off. The reality, however, is harsher and horrifyingly closer to home. In coastal areas like Mumbai, the truth is now increasingly apparent. The report of the Inter-Governmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) has had a grim forecast for the mega-city - by the turn of the century, large parts of Mumbai would be under water. Even now, in parts of city, the sea is just a few feet away from buildings during high tide.
