2 dead, 18 hurt in Srinagar blast

New Delhi: Two people are dead, including one tourist, and 18 injured in a blast near the Shalimar Gardens in Srinagar.

The blast happened near a bus parked in the parking lot. The nature of the blast is still unknown.

Most of those injured are tourists from Gujarat. The critically injured have been rushed to the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences and the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital.

Police have rushed to the spot and are still trying to ascertain if the blast is a militant attack or an accident.
