New Delhi: The body of a 26-year-old MBA student, was recovered on Tuesday morning near the Qutab Institutional Area in New Delhi.
The victim, Anand Tiwari, hailed from Kolkata. Police say he was repeatedly hit on his head with a stone but they have ruled out the possibility of robbery as a motive, as his motorcycle and other belongings were found intact.
A few packets of food items and a broken bottle were also found at the spot, which lead the police to believe he could have been drinking.
Anand was studying at the IIPM management college and lived in a rented flat in Katwaria Sarai. He was reportedly scheduled to leave for Switzerland on Wednesday.
The Tiwari family is visibly upset, so much so that Anand's father couldn't even bring himself to come down to Delhi.
"He was just too upset to come. We are all very upset. Our family is as good as dead after this news," said Ashok Tiwari, who is Anand's cousin.
