New Delhi: The Comptroller and Auditor General of India Vinod Rai deposed before the Parliamentary accounts Committee chairman Murli manohar Joshi on Monday in connection with the 2G spectrum scam investigation.
The Parliamentary Accounts Committee which is investigating the 2G scam questioned the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
The CAG report put the estimated loss in the spectrum scam at Rs 1.76 lakh crore and the PAC wants to know how he arrived at that figure.
The report which was first made public by CNN-IBN, created a furore in Parliament when it was tabled last month.
Interestingly even as the opposition continues it's demand for a JPC, veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi is heading the PAC and is pressing ahead with the investigation.
The PAC is examining the allocation of 2G spectrum.
