Mumbai: The cries of 2-year-old Moshe, orphaned in the attack on Nariman House where his Jewish parents Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and Rivka were killed from the bullets of terrorists, filled the synagogue in the heart of Mumbai where friends and well wishers had gathered to pay their last respects to the slain couple, their friends could be seen in tears for the baby they left behind.

He has reached Israel to be with his grandparents. The bodies of his parents have arrived in Jerusalem.

Moshe himself barely managed to escape in the arms of his nanny.

An Israeli Air Force jet carried Moshe and the remains of his parents to Jerusalem along with the bodies of 4 others who where killed.

Israeli airmen took the flag-draped coffins off a plane at Jerusalem's airport early this morning. Relatives and friends of the victims gathered on the tarmac at Ben Gurion airport to pay their respects.

The Holtzbergs ran the Mumbai centre for the ultra-orthodox Chabad Lubavitch movement, dedicating their lives to the betterment of the Jewish community.

A prayer hall and community kitchen, the Holtzbergs were known to provide shelter to those stranded,

Their untimely death has left the Jewish community in India and across the world shocked and looking for answers.

Family physician Dr Aaron Abraham says, " We know Moshe will get a good life with his grandparents, but its sad, he''ll never know his parents."

The prayers of the people of Mumbai were with the toddler who has had to bear the burnt of the trauma of terror as his ancestors had to go through the holocaust.

However we hope that Moshe will survive this turn of event like his ancestors have done in the past.
