3 betting bookies held

BANGALORE: The sleuths of the Special Enquiry squad of the Central Crime Branch  arrested three persons who were allegedly involved in cricket betting. Goods and cash worth Rs 2.25 lakh have been recovered from them.
The accused are Padma Prasad, 33, of Annapurneshwari Layout, Deepak, 30, of NGEF Layout and Chandrappa, 42, of Mylasandra.
Police said that based on a tip-off that the three were allegedly involved in betting over IPL cricket matches at a house in Babusabpalya, the house was raided, and the trio was arrested. A TV, Rs 1.05 lakh cash, a laptop, seven mobile phones and other goods have been recovered.
A case has been registered at Kengeri police station and investigations are on.
