The Prince of Wales, a green campaigner himself, presented the awards in London. He reiterated the need to look for sustainable, simple solutions to counter climate change.
His Royal Highness Prince of Wales, Prince Charles said, “It’s convinced me once again that in looking for solutions, we don’t need complex technical solutions, but working with nature and rediscovering abandoned techniques.
The Ashden Awards, in their 9th year, help small projects scale up and provide more funding opportunities. This year a total of £200,000 was given in cash prizes to 7 international projects from around the world.
