3 Jayas team up for Cong bashing

New Delhi: The three Jayas of politics have come together for a new political confluence with a probable Third Front being worked out ahead of the UP Assembly polls.

While the modalities are yet to be finalised, the contours of the union were worked out at Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh's Delhi residence on Tuesday.

The rather filmi cast of this probable Third Front includes Rajya Sabha MP and actress Jaya Bachchan (representing Amar Singh's family), Samajwadi Party MP and yesteryear actress Jayaprada as the family friend, former Tamil Nadu chief minister, also a former actress J Jayalaithaa in the lead roles, headed by the patriarch - Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Jayalalithaa’s first visit to the Capital since her defeat in the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls in May has generated much political speculation.

Jayalalithaa, who sounds like a staunch Samajwadi Party ally, has already been talking to Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu who has been apprising Mulayam Singh and Amar Singh on the developments.

“I hope the Central Government does not attempt to dismiss Mulayam ji's government in UP. If they do take such an ill-advised step, there will be a backlash of sympathy for Mulayam ji and he will return as the Chief minister of the state with renewed strength,” says Jayalalitha.

However, the only hitch in the script remains the Left, which is refusing to take the cue, and till that happens, the Third Front is never going to be a blockbuster.
