Hardwar: It's been one week since a group of around 300 foreigners have been camping inside the protected forest, singing, dancing and cooking in open violation of the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. But the forest department has failed so far to make them vacate the forest. Even their presence would have gone unnoticed, but for the wildfire that's raging in the national park.
"They are threatening us, we will now approach the higher officials. We are over 200 foreigners here. We don't want amenities like electricity we just want a peaceful place where we can praise the lord," say the tourists.
"There are around 250 people here; we will take action against all these people. But we also want to find out who influenced them to come here," said an forest official.
