Allahabad: A four-month-old child was allegedly burnt alive in an incubator in a private nursing home in Allahabad, police said.
The child, who had diarrhoea, was brought to the hospital in the posh Civil Lines area by his parents for treatment, they said.
The hospital staff told them that they were keeping the child in an incubator as his body temperature had dropped to an alarming level, according to the police complaint lodged by the parents.
A few hours after the child was kept in an incubator, the hospital authorities informed the parents that their baby had died and handed over the body to them.
The body was in a charred condition, the complaint alleged.
A case has been registered but no arrests have been made so far, police said.
