5 held, forged passports seized

HYDERABAD: Five persons, who travelled on forged passports from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, were arrested on arrival at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad on Tuesday by the Cyberabad police.
The five, hailing from different parts of the country, had left India a couple of years ago on genuine visas. But the visas were either lost or seized by their employers during their stay abroad.
To return to India they approached brokers who arranged them Indian passports issued in the names of some other persons whose photographs in the passports were taken off and replaced with those of these five persons.
The agents charged 9,500 Riyals for each forged passport.
The five _ Tanseer (23) and Shameer (24) from Kerala, Abdul Jawed (32) and Afzal Ahmed (36) of Uttar Pradesh, and Himanshu Singh (25) of New Delhi _ arrived here on Monday morning by flight SV 754 of Saudi Arabian Airlines from Riyadh
