New Delhi: Tragedy struck a posh locality in Mumbai when a bunglow located in Western suburbs of the city collapses, killing five people and injuring at least 11.
The bungalow called Endore Park - located in the Royal Palm area of the city’s Aarey Colony - collapsed around 1800 hrs (IST) when construction and renovation of the basement of the structure was in progress.
Most of those killed and injured were contruction labourers. The bungalow is owned by one Mr Mehndi.
Fire tenders and police jeeps immediately rushed to the spot and were carrying out rescue operations.
The injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals.
Aarey colony is one of the poshest in Western Mumbai and is adjacent to the famous Sanjay Gandhi National Park.
