5 selected for Gurazada Awards

Five eminent personalities in literature and arts were selected for the Gurazada Award and another 25 persons for the Gurazada Sahitya Puraskaram. Story writer Kalipatnam Rama Rao and poet Avantsa Soma Sunder were among those selected for the Gurazada Award.

The state government will present the awards at the 150th birth anniversary of Gurazada Appa Rao, to be held from September 19 to 21, at Vizianagaram and Hyderabad simultaneously. The Gurazada Awardees will get a cash prize of Rs one lakh.
