Mumbai: At least six people have been killed and as many as 45 injured in a major fire in Mumbai's Byculla locality.
The fire broke out in the Retiwala Industrial Estate at around 15:30 hrs IST, fire officials said.
A dozen fire engines and several water tenders are fighting the blaze. Rescue operations are also on.
Of the 45 persons injured in the fire, one is in a serious condition while others have received minor burns, the Dean of J J Hospital, P Shingare said.
Fire fighting operations are still on, fire officials said.
