New Delhi: Six high school children were shot and wounded as they got off their school bus, by at least two suspects who fired at them from a car across the road.
However, none of the injuries were life-threatening and the victims had been transported to a nearby trauma center where they were being seen by doctors.
Police say they suspect rivalry between two teenage groups over a girl. Police also said they had detained five or six people for questioning but had not arrested any suspects and could not yet provide a description of the two assailants, other than to say that they were male.
The shootings come in the same week as four people were killed at a Christian Missionary training center and a church in Colorado in which a 24-year-old man killed four people and then himself
More recently, a 19-year-old opened fire on shoppers in Nebraska and killed eight people, before killing himself.
