Mumbai: For most families in Mumbai the search for missing relatives has either ended in heartache or happiness.

For 12-year-old Rakesh, who had been waiting to be claimed all this while - it's ended on a happy note.

"Maine pehchan liya hai (I’ve recognised him)," says Rakesh’s father Amrit Lal Parihar.

Rakesh's father was overwhelmed with emotion after finding his son in the trauma intensive care unit of Borivali's Bhagwati hospital on Friday.

Rakesh had been brought to the hospital on Tuesday night after the blasts and had been waiting for a known face.

A mouth injury had made it impossible for him to speak. He could neither give his name nor his address.

Rakesh’s father says he found his son after he saw him on TV.

Rakesh had sustained serious burn injuries on his mouth and jaw. Stitches in his mouth had compounded his problems.

Though all this time no one had come looking for him, the hospital authorities took good care of him.

"We will keep him in our hospital till he recovers," says Claly John, a nurse who had been taking care of Rakesh.

Amidst all the trauma and despair, at least for the Parihar family it's a happy end.
