They are helpful little things in which you can stash your makeup, cash, cards, mobile phone and a whole lot more. Yes, pockets are a girl's best fashion buddy.
We spotted some pockets in designer Asmita Marwa's collection at the Lakme Fashion Week.

So, how can you incorporate a pocket or pouch into your daily wear? Asmita tips us off. Take some fabric (especially silk or with zardosi work) and make a rectagular pouch with it. Attach a pretty looking string and stitch around the waist of your short or long kurti, or tunic top.

If you don't want to attach these pockets, don't! Here's what you can do: make the strong longer and use as a pouch. Put a zipper on the opening and team with denim and a T-shirt. This gives your outfit an ethnic twist.

Most of Asmita's designs have a pocket on one side, only. But feel free to experiment. You could have two identical or different pockets on either side of your outfit.
