Click to play videoMumbai: Filmmaker A R Murugadoss is a much relieved man. His Bollywood directorial debut Ghajini not only opened with record-breaking numbers at the box office but has also positioned Aamir Khan as the star of the year.
However, the film's release was almost disrupted because of a case by Chandreshekhar - the producer of its Tamil version - who had questioned the authenticity of the documents used to get the copyright.
And though Ghajini released on schedule, Murugodoss was left shaken and stirred.
"I feel very depressed, upset and stressed. After two years of hard work, I could not enjoy the release because of the problems, the court case and the controversy. I am a very senstitive person. The film may be an action film but I am basically a very sensitive person. So if there is something like this, I get disturbed very easily," he said.
The Aamir Khan starrer is the Chennai-based director's fifth film. Murugadoss has previously directed movies in Tamil and Telugu including Chiranjeevi starrer Stalin. In fact, he is also the man behind Ghajini's hit tamil version. But if wasn't for Aamir Khan, Murgadoss wouldn't have directed its Hindi remake.
"My excitement was only for working with Aamir Khan, because re-making a film is a very boring job as it is the same film, the same job, the same dialogues and all," he stated.
Though he is not too sure whether he will be continuing his journey in Bollywood, what Murugadoss knows for sure is that he has arrived with a bang.
