Mumbai: If you want to know what is cool without wanting to turn to a spate of ads, just log on.
Dan Kerzner has come up with a new venture- a lifestyle website for hip Indian women called Trendy.in. And Kerzner’s company is called Trendylicious.
A business-school graduate and once a tech and finance whiz kid, Kerzner is an American who moved to India to tell Indians what is trendy.
“We want people to come and subscribe. Once they do that, they get an e-mail from us every day. The e-mail is brief having 150 to 175 words. If they like the e-mail then they can send it to their friends. After having read the e-mail they can find out what is happening,” says Kerzner.
At the moment, Kerzner is gathering writers in Delhi and Mumbai to write a 150 word dishy and opinionated pieces on what is the latest in entertainment, shopping and fashion. And he seems to have got some fashion victims too.
“The information I give is a writer’s information that I want for myself as well. Trendylicious gives us articles those who would like to read about what is trendy. So it is for the chic who is sophisticated, trendy and who is very plugged in,” says Trendy contributor Reshma Arya.
Getting the Trendy.in tips is easy. Just register your email and a tip pops up in your mailbox everyday. So there is no need log on to the site everyday.
Kerzner even plans to host Trendy events and Trendy line of clothing and accessories if the website becomes successful.
